Organizado por la UNRN y la productora Kilómetro Sur.
En diciembre se realizará la primera edición del Patagonia Media Festival, una muestra de carácter internacional organizada por la Universidad Nacional de Río Negro (UNRN) y la productora Kilómetro Sur que busca promover las producciones audiovisuales de nuevos talentos y realizadores independientes promoviendo la creatividad y el desarrollo de contenidos originales a partir de nuevas narrativas en formatos innovadores. Se trata del primer Festival Internacional de Cine de la Patagonia que premiará tanto proyectos cinematográficos como otros formatos de narrativas emergentes del universo audiovisual.
El festival se desarrollará en la Comarca Viedma-Carmen de Patagones de manera online desde el 1 al 4 de diciembre, e incluirá ciclos de charlas a cargo de invitados nacionales e internacionales, capacitaciones y otras actividades. El evento también se proyectará en un autocine montado en el campus de la Sede Atlántica de la UNRN.
Es un evento que pretende visibilizar el talento local, nacional e internacional. El principal objetivo es fomentar la cultura y la producción audiovisual en la escena de la comunicación y el entretenimiento actual, posicionando a la Patagonia como un faro creativo. Es a su vez, un espacio de exhibición y difusión de las producciones audiovisuales realizadas en el ámbito formativo de las distintas instituciones educativas.
“Es un orgullo para nosotros concretar este proyecto en un año tan difícil. El Patagonia Media Festival es un evento cultural que busca visibilizar el talento local y el internacional. Estamos ante un acontecimiento sin precedentes en la región, que pretende posicionar a la Patagonia como un faro creativo. Además de exhibir las creaciones locales, incorporará obras, invitados, conferencistas y capacitadores nacionales e internacionales”, anunciaron los coordinadores del Festival.
Categorías y premios
Durante el festival, un jurado compuesto por personalidades del medio audiovisual, del ámbito universitario, de las artes y la cultura regional, nacional e internacional; elegirá a las mejores producciones organizadas en las siguientes categorías:
Narrativas Inmersivas e Interactivas: competencia oficial para producciones narrativas innovadoras argentinas e internacionales, que utilicen entornos multimedia e interactivos online, donde la navegación del contenido implica la interacción y participación activa de los usuarios.
Largometrajes: competencia oficial para obras cinematográficas argentinas e internacionales, de una duración superior a 60 minutos, en géneros de ficción, documental y/o experimental.
Cortometrajes: competencia oficial para obras argentinas e internacionales de una duración máxima de 15 minutos (créditos incluidos), en géneros: ficción, documental, animación y experimental.
Cortometrajes en Cuarentena: competencia nacional de cortometrajes realizados durante el período de Aislamiento Social, Preventivo y Obligatorio (ASPO), en el marco de la pandemia ocasionada por el COVID-19, que no superen los 10 minutos de duración.
Cortometrajes Patagónicos: competencia oficial de obras de la Patagonia Argentina que no superen los 15 minutos de duración, en géneros de ficción, documental, animación y experimental.
Cortometrajes Universitarios: competencia oficial de cortometrajes realizados en el ámbito universitario argentino que no superen los 15 minutos de duración, en géneros de ficción, documental, animación y experimental.
